My new thermal exhaust is pretty loud. If I had somebody install a resonator, would it take the edge off?
I'm debating about weather it's too loud or not.
If I choose to un-install it, what would be the next best exhaust?

I just have a magnum bullet resonator installed in the thermal 3' but it really didn't help that much. still very loud under load.

b18cturbo: What kind of difference did it make though, if at all?
I don't mind the under load, but I want something that just takes a little of the edge off of it.
I'd consider getting a different brand too, but I want the flow!

Lundgren,
If its too loud now, it will just get more obnoxious later on. I wouldn't hack it up because if the resonator doesn't muffle the sound enough, its gonna be hard to sell a chopped up "mofified" exhaust later on.

I talked with them on the phone (thermal r)
I can send the exhaust to them, they can 'upgrade' the muffler to absorb a little more sound.
I might do this.

Kinda killed my theory of putting in a resinator to make it "family car exceptible"... I might still do it and play with different resinators though... like everything else, you get what you pay for in a resinator also...
